Making Sense of Living: Safe Companioning Within and Without

This Making Sense of Living manual is a compilation of writings for Suzanne Noel's course in Focusing Partnership, based on Robert Lee's Domain Focusing model. -- Among other things, it explores the many ways we can symbolize our felt experience, how to bring empathy to ourselves and our living; how to listen with tender, safe kindness to ourselves and others; and how to open up our stuck patterns so that our natural aliveness...comes alive! -- Having coached in Robert Lee's Domain Focusing Partnership courses for many years, this course is a reflection of his work and is based on his teachings and writings. Most of the book follows his "Domain Focusing Self Guiding Form." -- This manual includes articles Suzanne has written for other publishers, such as The Focusing Connection; chapters from her books Loving At the Edge: Recovery Emerging and Enlivened Community, and a few poems from her private poetry collections.
