Making Trouble (Tongued with Fire)

A love story that defied convention, a tragedy shrouded in mystery. In the winter of 1875, Harriet Rowell and Alice Moon, two champion swimmers and rebellious spirits, leave Victorian England for Australia, seeking freedom and love. But their bond is tested when Alice's ambition leads her to Sydney, where a dangerous connection with a chauvinistic scientist, John McGarvie Smith, ends in a shocking death.

Now, Harriet must unravel the truth behind Alice's demise, confronting societal prejudices and her own grief. Was it a natural death, or was something more sinister at play? This imagined history explores the complexities of love, ambition, and the courage to challenge a world determined to keep women in their place. Perfect for readers of LGBTQ+ historical fiction and untold stories of female pioneers.
