About the Author

Sheila Gallien, a writer, consultant and coach, worked for six years alongside Oscar-nominated screenwriter William Broyles, Jr. as his assistant and mini-development department on projects including Unfaithful, Cast Away, Entrapment, and Planet of the Apes. Previously she worked at CAA as a literary agent’s assistant and as a freelance reader. Most recently she consulted for Stephen and Jonah Lisa Dyer on Hysteria (starring Maggie Gyllenhaal) and ongoing projects for Mr. Broyles. Her original screenplay Dropping In is being produced by Susan Cartsonis, Storefront Pictures, (What Women Want, Where the Heart Is, Aquamarine), and she is represented by The Wachter, Rabineau, Sanford and Harris Literary Agency. She consults for completed works and coaches writers at all levels from the very beginning of their process to the completion of multiple drafts, in creating powerful, authentic, original writing and connecting their talent to their story. She lives on the island of Maui with her daughter.
