He was formerly the president of the University of New Mexico, Oklahoma State University, and Texas Tech University. RICHARD W. MANNING is coauthor of the Illustrated Key to Skulls of Genera of North American Land Mammals. STEPHEN KASPER is a wildlife biologist at Lake Alan Henry Wildlife Mitigation Area in the Texas Panhandle. CHESTER O. MARTIN was a research wildlife biologist with the Army Corps of Engineers, specializing in bat conservation.
