About this title

This is the story of four young men who sacrificed their lives for you the people of the U. S. They died at a very early age serving their country. They are true heroes. I am honored to write their stories. Two lost their lives in Vietnam. One lost his life in Afghanistan and one according to NCIS was a suicide. Was it a suicide? You decide! Read how a family coped with their loss. There were more suicides in the military in 2012 than combat deaths. Read what one veteran is doing to help veterans. Read the authors view on death.

About the Author:

Sgt. Clyde Hoch's writing started by accident. The last thing he ever expected to do in life was to write a book. Once an elderly neighbor stopped by. When he left Clyde thought what an interesting story he just told. When he is gone his story is gone. Then he though well, everyone has a story. He put his story on the computer in chapter form as it came to him. He felt he could send them to a military magazine to see if they would publish a chapter once in a while. He sent his chapters to friends he was with in Vietnam to make sure he had his story right. He sent the chapters to his daughter who said "You have to make this into a book". Sgt. Hoch was chosen as one of the fifty great writers you should be reading by the Since his first book he has written three more. All his books have gotten very good reviews. All are easy to read. Sgt. Hoch donates all his profits to veterans organizations and libraries. He writes true combat stories because he feels these stories need to be preserved for future generations.
