About the Author
Tomlinson currently consults to businesses as Principal, of the Career/Life Institute (business consulting, coaching and outplacement career counseling) for companies, family businesses and start-ups. He also spends time in ministry, as President of Living Perspectives, a non-profit Christian organization working with career issues, mentoring and young people. He also provides individual and career assessments for teens, professionals, and executives.
The majority of Tomlinson's career moves were "intentional" and followed "the desire of his heart." He moved into a management track reaching an executive level and then switched to a consultant and counseling role because he discovered that his true passion and talent were there. He achieved a Masters Degree in Psychology in his mid forties and continues to read and study. Paul excelled in sports and enjoyed applying the principles he learned to individuals and companies.
Tomlinson's wife, Jeanne, is a speech therapist and assists Paul in his work. They have three adult children and live in Washington. He has coached boys and girls youth teams and older teams as well and likes to read and play golf .
The Tomlinsons have ministered as a family in Poland and Paul speaks to churches and men's organizations regarding application of faith at work, mentoring, behavioral styles, career direction and prayer. He attends a large, non denominational multi-cultural church and meets with two other men on a regular basis in an accountability relationship.
His book, How a Man Handles Conflict at Work, was written in response to seeing the same problems recurring in men over and over again and a desire to see changed lives knowing that practical answers to challenges and crises are available.
