This is a good clean copy of Martin Cobbett personal view on the sports and sportsmen in his life. Vellum spine with gilt titles and red cloth boards. Gilt publisher's insignia on front board and illustrated with a portrait frontispeice. Book contains general book catalogue at rear. In a quarter vellum binding with cloth covered boards. There is minor wear to the extremities including bumping to the tail and top of the spine and the corners. The vellum is slightly discoloured near the top of the spine and the bottom of the boards are slightly rubbed. The binding is tight and firm and both covers are firmly attached. Internally the book is clean and bright with some spotting to the front and rear couple of pages including the frontispeice, there is some light spotting throughout the text and a few handling marks.
