Hardcover, no dust jacket. First edition thus (1915), originally published as a serial in the Saturday Evening Post Magazine in 1914. Copyright page states 1914, 1915 because of this reason. Illustrated front board on dark blue cloth, gilt to spine. Illustrated end pages front and rear. No handwriting or bookplates noted. Minor dampstain (about 1/4 inch down from top edge) on half title page, minor dampstain also on lower fore edge near outer corner. Binding good, no torn or loose pages, no hinge cracks. Bottom of front board has a horizontal crease in the cloth running through the cloth - which is about an inch up from the bottom and goes the spine side to turn-in. Foxing noted, mainly on end pages. An attractive looking book otherwise. See photos.
