The Son of No Man XXI: A Fictional Retelling of the Life of Christ in a Different Time and Place

If Jesus were born into today's world, what would his life be like? This imaginative retelling of the Gospel story offers a glimpse into how his coming might look and how he might be received in modern times.

Josué Diéscono Davison, the chosen one born of the holy Spirit in a 21^st Century, Western country, is the embodiment of the Heart of God on earth. Though affirmed and empowered by the heavenly Father, he faces intense - and often supernatural - opposition as he seeks to accomplish his mission of service, salvation, and love.

The Son of No Man XXI depicts Josué's unique life: his divinely-ordained birth in the back of a pickup, his miracle-filled ministry, his profound teaching and remarkable claims about his identity, his continual, bitter conflict with religionists, and even his gruesome treatment by a malicious triarchy.

The fictional story asks thought-provoking questions throughout its pages, including:

• How would the world react if Christ came and lived with us today?
• Would he bring the same message and perform the same acts as he did two millennia ago?
• What would be the response of the religious community and secular society?
• Would he ultimately be embraced-or condemned as he was before?

Seasoned religious author Kevin Anthony Keating bases The Son of No Man XXI on the events and dialogues described in the four biblical gospels. He deftly crafts a reverent and faithful portrayal that is neither a substitute for the good news message of the Scriptures nor a disavowal of Jesus' Jewish identity. Instead, Keating exercises creative license while preserving the original ideas of the evangelists, all with the intent of encouraging a more earnest application of Jesus' words and actions to our everyday lives here and now.

Kevin Anthony Keating worked as a teacher and educator for many years in many different countries around the world, beginning with his Peace Corps service in francophone West and Equatorial Africa. He has written several other inspirational and faith-themed books. Kevin lives in Southern California.
