In 1987, the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) published its standard form of management contract. This book covers the JCT contract and discusses general principles applicable to management contracting and the terms of unique contracts drafted specifically for particular projects. The book sets management contracting in context, comparing it with other forms of construction procurement. It looks at questions raised by most types of construction contract and emphasises the features which are peculiar to management contracting. The book considers the advantages and disadvantages of management contracting and analyses the features characteristic of a management contract.
