Management of Disruptive Pupil Behaviour in Schools

The book stresses the importance of schools managing their own problem pupils and teachers analysing their own classroom management techniques and interpersonal skills. Rather than schools importing solutions the consistent theme is that they should, at every level, engage in an in-house, professional analysis of internal structures, administrative procedures, roles, and relationships. To this end the book offers practical advice and guidance and gives positive and realistic support. The contributors, all experts in their respective fields, offer perspectives and insights into disruptive behaviour which will stimulate discussion and ideas in pre-service and in-service courses for teachers, advisors, administrators, and others involved in the education and care of children. Evidence from other countries is included to widen the debate, and to share the constructive initiatives promoted in other European countries and in America. Repair to top of spine.
