Management Of Plant Disease

Keeping plants healthy requires an understanding of the organisms and agents that cause disease as well as an understanding of how plants grow and are affected by disease. Because plants are a fundamental part of life on Earth, the study of plants is vital to human well-being. Plants generate the oxygen, food, fibres, fuel, and medicine that allow humans and other higher life forms to exist. Through photosynthesis, plants also absorb carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that can affect global climate; they prevent soil erosion; and they impact the water cycle. This book offers the latest research and developments in managing plant disease.
