Managing EI on Students EI and their Reading Comprehension

Nowadays, anyone who is successful is generally thought of as someone who has a high IQ that can control people and money or both. For example, this has led to society’s obsession on control whereby many people are at the mercy of corrupt politicians, heartless tycoons, distrustful advertising executives, and business executives.Recent research, however, stresses the importance of EQ in deciding both personal and professional success. English has now become the predominant language of international academic publications. This has been attested by the importance attached to publications in English language media and the need for language learners to read these published texts in different forms, such as research articles, abstracts, stories, recipes and the like. Both as a source of getting information and pleasure and also as a means of extending one’s knowledge of the target language, reading is one of the most important skills in any language program. For the majority of students of English as a second or foreign language, reading is not only the primary means by which they become acquainted with the content of the subject area they are studying.
