About the Author

Alison Petch is Director of Research in Practice for Adults, a research utilisation organisation that promotes evidence-informed policy and practice in adult social care. She was previously Director of the Nuffield Centre for Community Care Studies at the University of Glasgow and has been involved in research across health and social care.
