About this Item
A little book of advice on living well from St. Bernard in very good condition. Smooth leather binding with pretty decorated spine. A page of the Table of Contents has been torn out, there is a piece missing at the top of page 139, some pages have been dog-earred and there is minor foxing. The corners are bent front and back. There is a name written in the front and discoloration at the front edges. There is a great deal of charm in the little printer s flourishes interspersed with breaks in the text. The block is solid and clean. Very Good Condition: 12mo: full leather: small crack at bottom of front hinge from bottom up about an inch and a half: bent corners: gilt decorated edges, slightly faded: ridged and banded spine with gilt decorations: brown label in second compartment with gilt lettering: toning at the edges of the pages; torn page; missing first page of Table of contents (starts with XLVI.
