Manor Zoo (Paperback or Softback)

When the world falls silent, who will protect those who cannot protect themselves?

In the wake of a devastating pandemic that leaves society in ruins, the Bronx Zoo becomes an unlikely sanctuary. Cut off from humanity and surrounded by danger, a small group of animals-once separated by enclosures and instinct-must learn to live together, survive together, and lead together.

Guided by the final act of compassion from a devoted zookeeper, the animals form a fragile community built on a simple creed: We protect those who depend on us. But unity is never easy. As fear, power, and survival begin to shape their new society, the animals must confront the same questions that have challenged humanity for centuries: Who should lead? Who can be trusted? And what happens when leadership fails?

Blending the political allegory of George Orwell's Animal Farm with the emotional depth of modern speculative fiction, Manor Zoo reimagines a world where animals inherit not just the earth-but the consequences of human nature.

As the fragile balance of their society is tested, the arrival of a young human survivor forces the animals to confront their deepest beliefs about trust, compassion, and coexistence. In a world where survival demands hard choices, the line between protector and threat begins to blur.

Written with the blessing of the Orwell Estate, Manor Zoo serves as both a spiritual successor and a bold evolution of Orwell's timeless classic-exploring not just how societies fall apart, but how they might be rebuilt.

For readers who loved Animal Farm, The Road, and Life of Pi, this is a story of resilience, morality, and the enduring hope that even in the darkest of times, empathy can prevail.
