iv, 274 pages, + (8pp) Griggs Co. advertising, pages 6-14 detached and becoming loose but present, beveled rust coloured cloth boards worn at head and foot of spine and corners. Copyright page gives 1872 as original date of publication. Incuded is the business card of A.T. Needham, Pastor of Central M.E. Church in Stockton, California, another previous owner's signature appears on two of the endpapers. 7 1/2" x 5 1/2".
