About this Item

Only fair condition. There is heavy outer spine wrar, plus corner and edge wear to the brown cloth covers. The cloth is folded back halfway up the edge of the back cover. The front end paper is mostly torn out, and there is writing on the facing page. There is some minor internal foxing, and some minor moisture marks affecting the corner of most pages. There is an ownership note on the dedication page. 235 pages, with some illustrations and no writing. This is by far the oldest copy of this book we found at the time of our listing. The preface is dated 1862, and the printing date is 1865.
