Original blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. Title is impressed on front cover. 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 inches. 407 pages which includes 7 pages of index. Copy has a total of 804 black and white illustrations and very detailed diagrams. Also has 40 pages of "select list of books in natural and physical science" Previous owners notes are tacked on white paper on the inside front cover and written in black ink. There is also a small, approx 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 old newspaper clipping tacked to the inside back cover that has a poem written on it. Covers are slightly scuffed. Head and tail are slightly bumped. Pages are very clean and complete. Binding is tight.
