E.L. Freeman & Co. 1883, 278 pgs. 12mo. Condition: good, no dj. Green cloth with gilt title on cover and spine. Insignia of HOPE and anchor in gilt on cover. Covers have rub marks, tan endpapers have light foxing, but textblock pages are clean, unmarked, and tight, unused. Title page shows owner's signature of George T. French, 1884, who was a member of the General Assembly 1883-85, and died in 1885, unexpectedly. Col. French, of Bristol, RI, was a lawyer, member of the House of Representatives, a staunch patriot, and was behind the Bourne Amendment, added to the RI Constitution.
