Pp. 125; 40 color plates of sea turtles, 19 text-figures (mostly black-and-white photos). Publisher's original two color pictorial wrappers, 4to. Based on a symposium on Sea Turtle Research in the Western Central Atlantic (Population and Socio-economics) held in San Jose, Costa Rica: 17-22 July 1983 (sponsored by IOCARIBE). This symposium was attended by 13 specialists on Sea Turtles. This group developed a key to sea turtles and various forms that help with conservation. This volume is from the research library of ichthyologist Wayne N. Witzell with his circular blind stamp on the half-title and title page. A bright and clean copy in near fine condition.
