An interesting work on the educational systems of New York public schools in the nineteenth century. Featuring many interesting tables and illustrations, including floor plans of ideal layouts, suggestions for desk and chair designs for children, and public school registers. Very scarce. In a full cloth binding. Externally, smart. Some light shelfwear to extremities and minor fading to backstrip. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little spotted towards the beginning and end but are otherwise bright and clean. Stamp and blindstamp of the Education Department library to title page. Good.
