Fawn cloth on beveled boards. Gilt lettering and decoration to front board and spine. Bumping and rubbing to extremities, with small loss to cloth at the rear of the spine. New end papers front and rear. Formerly in the possession of the University College at Cardiff, the book bears a number of small ink stamps between half title and main title pages, on reverse of main title page, and a small circular stamp (1 to 2 cm in diameter. None of the stamps interfere with either the text or the illustrations. Edition is not stated, but the author has included a foreword, which is dated as December 1906. Rough cut pages, a little dusty at the edges. Well illustrated with black and white plates and colour maps. A very heavy book (2.75kg), which will incur additional carriage charges for on UK customers. 221pp plus advertisements.
