Manzil - Along with Notes Containing Information on the Virtues and Blessings of the Holy Verses

Manzil is a collection of selected verses from the Holy Qur'an traditionally recited as part of Duas and spiritual protection. In many Muslim families, Manzil has been taught and memorised from a young age and recited regularly as a means of seeking the protection, mercy and help of Allah Ta'ala.

This book presents the Manzil together with notes explaining the virtues and blessings associated with the selected Qur'anic verses. It provides readers with a convenient compilation of verses that have traditionally been used in Duas and spiritual practices, making it easier to read, learn and incorporate them into daily devotional practice.

The introduction explains the importance of turning to the Qur'an and Masnoon Duas when facing difficulties and seeking Allah Ta'ala's help. It also discusses the value of reciting the words of Allah Ta'ala with concentration, sincerity, love and attention.

Protection and Spiritual Guidance

The book discusses the traditional use of Manzil in seeking protection from mischief, Sihr, Shaytaan and other harmful influences. It explains that certain Qur'anic verses have traditionally been collected and recited for specific needs and difficulties.

References are made to works including Al-Qawlul Jameel and Beheshti Zewar, which discuss selected Qur'anic verses and their traditional applications. The book presents these teachings as part of the established practice of reciting Qur'anic verses and Duas for seeking Allah Ta'ala's protection and assistance.

Virtues and Blessings of the Qur'anic Verses

The accompanying notes provide information about the virtues, blessings and traditional benefits associated with the verses of Manzil. They encourage readers to understand the importance of reciting the Qur'an with sincerity and to recognize the spiritual value of the words of Allah Ta'ala.

The book also emphasizes that Duas and Qur'anic recitations should be made with concentration, focus, sincerity and love, rather than merely reciting words without attention.

A Convenient Compilation

The compilation was prepared to make these verses easier to access and recite. The introduction describes how, in the author's family, the Manzil was memorised by children from a young age and was used by family members in Duas and traditional spiritual practices.

By bringing the selected verses together in one place, this book provides a convenient resource for those who wish to read, memorise and regularly recite the Manzil.

The book is associated with the teachings and writings of respected Islamic scholars, including Hadhrat Maulana Muhammad Talha al-Kandahlawi, son of Hadhrat Shaykh Maulana Muhammad Zakariya Sahib Rahmatullahi Alayh.

Manzil is a useful Islamic devotional resource for readers seeking to strengthen their connection with the Qur'an, learn selected verses, understand their traditional virtues and blessings, and incorporate Qur'anic recitation and Duas into their daily lives.
