In this edition I undertook to update usage as it has evolved over the past 20 years, resulting in revision to numerous entries. There is now more prominent reference to the Maori names of main centres, with inclusion of some important localities (such as Turangawaewae), regions like Te Upoko-o-Re-Ika), and coastal and marine names (like Te Tai-o-Marokura).
