Folding timetable map showing almost all of the continental United States with insets of Alaska and northern Mexico. Full color by state. fine condition with small separations at some fold junctions. The verso is taken up mostly with the map. The recto consists almost entirely of timetables for the Burlington Route through the Midwest, West, and Texas. The geography on the map is quite distorted in places. North Dakota is much shorter (N/S) than actual; Manitoba extends down into Minnesota rather than forming its northern border; Other states appear to have distorted sizes, though they all end up fitting together as they should. This piece is dated February, 1890, making it among the earlier maps to show the new (1889) states of North and South Dakota.
