Description:
Folding map in original illustrated stiff wrappers. Fine condition, with small separations at some fold junctions. The front wrapper, lightly worn, has an illustration of Island Camps. Shows the part of Maine north and west of Skowhegan, including the portions of New Hampshire and Quebec adjacent to the borders. Outline color by township, with water areas also in color. The Osher Map Library has a copy of this map, but there are a small number of variations between the two. The Osher example shows an area called Greenvale in the northwest corner of Rangeley Plantation which is not present here. The east end of the town of Rangely has some variations. Also, the second line of this copy is curved, while the Osher copy has that text in straight line text. There may well be other small differences. Seller Inventory # m01661
