35x39 cm. Previously folded map removed from Priscilla Wakefield's Excursions in North America, Described in Letters from a Gentleman . London: 1810. This copy is defective, lacking the top right corner (triangular, roughly 12x14 cm at edges), with the loss confined to areas of the North Atlantic Ocean. The loss is undoubtedly where the map was attached to the book and torn out poorly. Light fraying at bottom edge. Outline color showing routes of travel. An interesting map which includes the American West before the discoveries of Lewis and Clark were reported. Not in Wheat (Transmississippi West).
