A series of 4 large, and one smaller (37 x 36 cm), fold-out maps relating to the Russo-Japanese War in 1904. Maps: 1. Campaign in Manchuria 2. The Yalu 3. Liao-Yang 4. Sha-Ho 5. Strategical Map. The maps are in colour: red, black, blue and red/brown; with the final map also featuring the use of green colouring in place of blue. Map condition: All the maps are intact/unfoldable, have some edgewear with tanning and occasional spotting. Map 4 has a tear between one of its folds, map 5 a small tear at the top of the page near the book joint. Brown ochre boards with red titles on the front and in black along the spine. Some rubbing and marking in places; including at the edges/corners. The tanning and spotting previously referred to is more noticeable on the preliminary and final pages than on the maps. 140 x 220 mm.
