About this Item

Map one: Map of the great Salt Lake and adjacent country in the territory of Utah. Surveyed in 1849 and1850, under the orders of Col. J. J. Abert, chief of the Topographical Bureau. Several closed tears along creases, and missing a section of the map in the title area, about 5" X 9", which does not contain any part of the map itself. Map 2: Map of a Reconnoissance between Fort Leavenworth on the Missouri River and the Great Salt Lake of Utah. Some splits along folds, and a few minor spots. The cloth binding spine is perished, and the two boards are detached and present. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
