Marginalized Men In The Maelstrom Of A Changing Church

It is undeniable that there has been a modern-day exodus of men in the American church. All one has to do is visit a Sunday morning service in a typical congregation, and the gender imbalance is overwhelming clear. This has profound consequences, however, as it affects the ability of the church to act as the body of Christ and achieve its purpose, which is spreading the Word and drawing others to the Lord. So, why is this occurring? And, more importantly, what can be done to rectify it? Marginalized Men in the Maelstrom of a Changing Church by D.D. Nabor Sr. is a compelling novel which delves deep into the crisis of the lack of men in the church today. He discusses intra-congregational conflict between women in leadership and men on the bench and talks about the devastation that occurs in churches when reconciliation is not achieved between the two. Inspired to write by his own experiences as a young man in Sunday school, D.D. Nabor Sr. shares how he witnessed the statement, "He who leads the Sunday School will one day lead the church," coming true, as most of the young men he knew left Sunday school and most of the young women stayed and went on to leadership in the church. He writes passionately that men and women must take the initiative to invite the other gender to get the written Word out and heal the abundant hurt that exists on both sides. The result is both an analysis and call to action that will have readers of both genders ready to come to the table in one accord.
