Each of the Mariner's Atlases contains charts to accommodate all-situation cruising. The charts furnish information for passage making, coasting, island-hopping, making approaches, closing the land, maneuvering harbors, picking one's way over dangerous and congested shoal waters, and anchoring out.
Indeed, no mariner who plies these incomparable cruising waters need feel deprived of guidance. Each map is from either the National Ocean Service (NOS) or Defense Mapping Agency (DMA). There is a good mix of large, medium and small scale charts to provide any captain with lots of secure information.
And they're of great use for anglers to track down places where journals have forecast good fishing, including flycasting along the shoreline.
Each book is a large format (11 1/2" x 16"), with clever cross-referencing to direct you to any listed place in an instant; Loran-C charts; helpful tips for safer cruising underway; and come in a protective plastic weatherproof pouch. Each book contains at least $250 worth of charts.
