Full leather with five rolled bands on spine and title in red square in gilt. Gilt decoration around bands. Covers are scuffed and edges andcorners are worn through to boards in places. Pages are toned though not too badly. Ffep is torn but not completely detached. B inding is square and secure. Overall this is still a solid copy. ; B&W Charts and Illustrations; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 290 pages; This is the 1784 edition which also contains The Compleat Boatswain by Henry Bond.
