London, Vincent Stuart, 1955 (second impression)/ 1954. Octavo, viii, 219 pages. Cloth a little bubbled and rubbed; edges and endpapers a little foxed; a very good copy with the very good dustwrapper (slightly chipped, worn and marked, with a closed tear about the front joint). After studying under Carl Jung, he was increasingly influenced by Fourth Way mysticism of George Gurdjieff and Pyotr Ouspensky. This is a companion to his earlier work 'The New Man' (1950). Provenance: Dr N.N. [Nicolas] Tereshchenko (1920-2001), student (and scholar) of Gurdjieff; his small name and address label is on the rear pastedown, and the Iovetz-Tereshchenko armorial bookplate is on the front pastedown (his father was Dr N.M. Iovetz-Tereshchenko, 1895-1954). Seller Inventory # 143560
