About this title

Synopsis

Mark for Everyone (with Luke for Everyone) starts this exciting new series. Tom Wright's own translation of the Gospel of Mark is combined, section by section, with eye-opening comments on the passage and what it might mean for us. Making use of his true scholar's understanding, yet writing in an approachable and anecdotal style, Wright captures the urgency and excitement of Mark's gospel in a way few writers have.

From the Publisher

"A rare event: a commentary that is learned without being stuffy, accessible without being reductionist. Tom Wright joins us in our homes and workplaces, our sanctuaries and classrooms, in genial, prayerful conversation over this text that forms our lives, the New Testament scriptures." Eugene Peterson, Professor Emeritus of Spiritual Theology, Regent College, and author of The Message
