A Multicomponent Rhyming Book to Help Children Learn About Courage While Practicing Reading, Penmanship, Drawing, and Creative Writing for Early Readers!
Children will learn in a rhyming, engaging manner and have fun coloring.
The large lettering and blank opposing pages aid in avoiding distractions, focusing, increasing concentration, and improving reading comprehension. This resource is a wonderful supplement to an ESL, Special Education, homeschool or literacy program.
Standard-sized lettering allows children to practice penmanship sized to standard notebook lines in both print and cursive. Many children with autism and ADHD practice cursive to improve their fine motor skills.
A call to research, explore their feelings and add to the rhyming story in the book allows children to co-create and practice creative writing skills.
And much more...
Please order the book to discover this excellent educational tool.
Produced by educators, this interactive book goes beyond the standard boundaries of rhyming books. It incorporates education with creativity, allowing any child to release their inner artist while learning about their emotions and character building. Within its pages, children will absorb information through rhymes and verses. While they exercise their minds, they can also test their fine motor skills, adding color to the beautiful illustrations. With its large text and blank opposing pages, children can easily focus on the task before them, lessening the chance of being distracted as they navigate the book. This, in turn, increases reading comprehension and concentration, skills that will benefit children as they continue to grow and learn. Whether in an ESL classroom, homeschool library, or as a supplement to a literacy program or special education tool, this book will be an excellent resource. The book combines reading with creativity, giving children a hands-on learning approach that will last far beyond their first perusal of the book. Alongside each verse, notebook lines and standard-sized lettering encourage children to practice penmanship, whether working on print or cursive handwriting. While this exercise certainly benefits all children, those with ADHD and autism, in particular, will find this book to be a valuable tool. To further promote learning children will receive research prompts and guiding questions that will showcase their critical thinking skills. With this level of interactivity, any child will find something to love in Marla The Mouse Is Happy, Not Sad.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
