Maroon Leaf Monkey Essentials (Paperback)

Paperback. The Maroon Leaf Monkey (Presbytis rubicunda), also called the red leaf monkey, is a highly specialized and fascinating primate species found in the dense rainforests of Borneo. Known for its reddish-brown coat, slender frame, and elongated limbs, this primate belongs to the colobine subfamily of Old World monkeys, which are primarily folivorous (leaf-eating). Their unique physiology, diet, and social behaviors make them distinct from many other monkey species, and any attempt to keep or care for them in captivity requires deep understanding, specialized housing, and careful ethical consideration. They are not domesticated animals and remain wild at heart, even when raised in human-managed environments. This item is printed on demand.
