Marriage and Death Notices in Raleigh Register and North Carolina State Gazette, 1846-1855; 1856-1867. Two Volumes in One

This three-part series is a valuable record of North Carolina marriages and deaths covering the entire state for the period 1799 through 1867. This is the final volume in the series and is a consolidation of two Bulletins of the North Carolina State Library. Altogether more than 5,000 mid-19th-century North Carolinians are identified herein. Marriages are arranged in alphabetical order by year, showing the names of both bride and groom, place of marriage, the name of the newspaper, and the date of publication. Deaths are also arranged by year and alphabetically thereunder, giving the name of the decedent, date of death, place of residence, and the name and date of the newspaper.
