Konkurrenten sowohl innerhalb als auch au�erhalb des Unternehmens Xtravel haben das Ziel, ihn aus der Firma zu verdr�ngen. Letztlich �ndert der Chef der Firma Xtravel seinen Plan. Er beabsichtigt, das finanzielle Preisgeld zu erhalten, das von der Europ�ischen Weltraumorganisation f�r die Person vorgesehen ist, die als erster Europ�er auf dem Mars landet, ohne dabei auf eine Rettungsaktion angewiesen zu sein. Andr� Cronway ist ihm im Weg und wird zu einer Bedrohung f�r seine Gewinnabsichten.
