Marshmallow Puffins At The Window
Does your child struggle with nighttime fears?
When it comes to bedtime, fears or worries are very common in children – especially children with a vivid imagination! There might be monsters in their bedroom, noises outside the window, or other worries that stop them getting to sleep.
Learning to manage these fears and worries is really helpful for children and their families.
Follow Kip as he takes Hana on a fun adventure to learn that the scary sounds and shapes in her bedroom just may be marshmallow puffins and ballerina bears.
This book is a fun way to help your child worry less at the start of the night by focusing on the power of positive imagination.
Developed by Australia's leading children's research hospital, our stories are backed by 20 years of research to support healthy sleep habits.
Hi, I'm Professor Harriet Hiscock, a paediatrician and senior researcher at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia, where I have led two decades of research into baby and child sleep. Along with my team, I have conducted world-first trials of parent-led strategies to improve infant sleep, sleep in children and sleep in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
My team has followed babies and children over time, demonstrating that these sleep strategies not only improve sleep in children but can also improve parent sleep and mental health. My work provides evidence that these strategies are safe for children. Sleep with Kip brings together two decades of internationally renowned work to provide evidence-based support for children and families.
