About the Author

Vincent Harding (1931-2014) was emeritus Professor of Religion and Social Transformation at the Iliff School of Theology, Denver, CO where he also chaired the Veterans of Hope Project. He served as the first director of the Martin Luther King Memorial Center in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Harding also served as senior advisor to the acclaimed PBS television series, "Eyes on the Prize." His other books include Martin Luther King: The Inconvenient Hero.
