About the Author
Jim Starlin is a 30-year veteran of the comic industry who is best known for his exploration of the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe. He has worked in every genre imaginable, and some of his other comic work is collected in LIFE AND DEATH OF CAPTAIN MARVEL and INFINITY GAUNTLET.
Roger Stern has written for radio, television, the stage, and the Internet, creating scripts for everything from sketch comedy to flash-animation. For ten years, he was the senior writer of the Superman series for DC Comics. Stern has written hundreds of stories about such diverse characters as Green Lantern, Supergirl, Starman, and the Justice League for DC Comics; and Spider-Man, Captain America, the Incredible Hulk, and the Avengers for Marvel. His first prose novel, The Death and Life of Superman, was a New York Times bestseller.
Ralph Macchio wrote several titles early in his Marvel career, most notably Thor and Marvel Two-In-One, which he co-scripted with the late Mark Gruenwald. He is not the actor who played The Karate Kid. This is the Ralph Macchio who -- as an editor -- would later let Walter Simonson turn Thor into a frog. Ralph retired from Marvel in 2011 with an editorial tenure second only to Stan Lee.
