For those of our members who would like to secure a broad background of the general subject of Almanacs before reading the facsimiles and the Commentary, there is an Appendix with a detailed coverage that presents adequate background information. We were fortunate in securing an experienced, devoted, and enthusiastic member of the Craft to make a study of this subject, select the books to be reproduced, and to prepare the fine commentary contained in this book.
