About the Author

Mike Roche has spent four decades in law enforcement. He began his career with the Little Rock Police Department patrolling the streets of the most violent small city in America. After 10 years, be became a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. A year later, he transferred to the U.S. Secret Service working in New Orleans, Miami, Washington DC, and Tampa. In total he spent 26 years with the Secret Service. Mike spent the last 15 years of his career focusing on conducting behavioral threat assessments of those individuals considering targeting violence. In retirement, he continued teaching threat assessments, first at St. Leo University, and continuing with the Alpha Group Center for Crime and Analysis.
