Massiv: A Solo Female Wanderer Hiking Guide

Massiv is DNT's longest SignaTUR route, going 350 kilometers through four national parks. It's a test of mental and physical strength - it's eighteen days across plains, glaciers, alpine bowls, and everything in between. It's a true bucket list hike.

This guide has everything you need to plan your hike - day by day trail descriptions with overview maps and elevation profiles, detailed notes on trail conditions, advice and information on how to use public transit to reach various points of the hike, packing lists, and more.

Sarah Rowe has solo hiked more than 3,500 kilometers across 21 countries, with a focus on Norway and Austria. When she's not out in the mountains, she's drinking coffee, writing about hiking on her blog, Solo Female Wanderer, or planning the next adventure. She lives in the northeastern United States, two kilometers from the Appalachian Trail.
