Beth Ulrich, EdD, RN, FACHE, FAAN is a nationally recognized thought leader. Dr. Ulrich has extensive experience as a healthcare executive, educator, and researcher. She currently serves as the Senior Partner, Innovative Health Resources and as Editor of the Nephrology Nursing Journal, the professional journal of the American Nephrology Nurses Association. In previous positions, Dr. Ulrich has served as the Vice President of Hospital Services for CAE Healthcare(a simulation technology and education provider); and has extensive senior executive experience having served in CNO, COO, and Senior Vice President positions in both hospitals and large health care systems, and has held graduate and undergraduate faculty positions. She is a past president of the American Nephrology Nurses' Association, a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.
Beth Mancini, PhD, RN, NE-BC, FAHA, ANEF, FAAN, is Professor, Associate Dean and Chair for Undergraduate Nursing Programs at The University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing. She holds the Baylor Health Care System Professorship for Healthcare Research. Prior to moving to an academic role in 2004, Dr. Mancini was Senior Vice President for Nursing Administration and Chief Nursing Officer at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, Texas, a position she held for 18 years. Dr. Mancini is active in the area of simulation in healthcare including serving as President of the Society for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare; past member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada s Simulation Task Force, Sigma Theta Tau International s Simulation and Emerging Technologies Content Advisory Group, and the World Health Organization s Initiative on Training and Simulation and Patient Safety; and Co-Chair of the Education Task Force for the International Liaison Committee for Resuscitation.
