Four of the artists are members of the Institute of Painters in Watercolour, and the fifth, Norman Thelwell, is well-known for his cartoon work, although fewer poeple will be familiar with his work in watercolour. Ray Evans is also the author of "How to be a successful illustrator: a practical guide".
