Peter has over 15 years of experience in IT Management, with emphasis on design and engineering of Cloud Computing and Virtualization solutions over the past 6 years. While at Enterprise, he has been leading complex projects to deliver IaaS via self-provisioning portal based on scalable and elastic resources that utilize shared converged infrastructure. His daily responsibilities involve leveraging his interpersonal and strong communication skills to work with business stakeholders to develop an architectural framework that tightly aligns corporate IT strategy, processes, policies, and assets with organizational goals. Peter's enterprising personality, strong work ethic, and analytical skills enable him to take ownership and consistently deliver tangible results, driving projects forward despite adverse conditions and inevitable scope creep. Recently, Peter took on a leadership challenge where he motivates and mentors junior team members to help them achieve their professional development goals.
Peter has been focused on design, deployment, and operationalizing support of VMware's core cloud and virtualization technologies such as: ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, SSO, vCloud Director, vCNS, vCenter Chargeback, vCenter Operation Manager, vSphere Update Manager, Virtual Distributed vSwitch, vMotion, Host Profiles, High Availability, DRS, Datastore Clusters, and Auto Deploy. While at Enterprise, Peter began working with VCE Vblock, including UCS and VNX platforms, as well as automating provisioning of infrastructure components such as blades and storage via UIM/P. Previously at Scottrade, he was introduced to PowerGUI and worked on PowerCLI scripting to automate host provisioning, VM deployments, storage allocations and reporting.
Over the years, his duties at Enterprise Holdings, Scottrade, and Boy Scouts have given him the opportunity to grow professionally, expand his IT horizons, and hone his business skills.
