I loved all of the fantastic ideas for the implementation of Mastery Based Learning IM3 Model shared by the authors. The authors also shared examples of Mastery Based Learning in Mathematics strategies as well as a multitude of mastery based math questions from the principal and teacher. They also included student strategies and responses to this new initiative and how it was implemented with such great success.

I just finished reading Mastery Based Learning in Mathematics (K-8). The energy and dedication that these two educators have for their students is amazing. As a teacher, I know of the challenges and difficulties that all teachers face, especially in inner city schools

It is nice to find a book that has sample problems. This book is applicable for all educators and does not "live" in the heavy research that so many books "live" in. I can implement these strategies that actually make sense and improve students. Very easy read and step by step process to implement. Well done and can't wait for the next edition.
