Material Science for Engineers

Material Science for Engineers is intended to serve this need. It is expected to cater to the needs of a vast majority of students of different branches of science and engineering. It is meant to serve as a textbook for those students who are going to get their first exposure of this beautiful subject. Additional concepts of thermodynamics physical chemistry atomic structure etc. not covered in earlier core courses are explained as and when required. A large number of illustrations & more than 180 solved problems are included for better understanding of basic concepts presented in the book. SI units are used in the book. The book has projected an overall view of the structure and structure-related properties of materials within the framework of science and engineering disciplines. The lucid presentation of the book would be a great help for the students to have a clear grasp of the fundamentals. The objective of the book is to prepare students to tackle applications oriented problems i
